Fun, fitness and fellowship for people who love the outdoors.

Our core mission is to promote the sport of dragon boat paddling for the betterment of life and the community.

Dragon boat paddling is the oldest continuously practiced team sport in the world with origins that can be traced back 2,400 years in China. Dragon Boat paddlers can be found in more than 145 countries worldwide. It is also the fastest growing sport in the world with more than 50 million paddlers each year…and counting.

What We Do

Dragonboating is done with 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steersperson as they streak across the water in 42-foot boats with brightly colored dragon heads and tails, and dragon-like scales along the sides. Often times, dragon boats are paddled for fun and full-body exercise. They are also raced throughout the world, usually on 250M, 500M and 1000M courses.

Dragonboat team on the lake
We’re on the water about 215 times each year. We’re out there four
times a week from April through October on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6PM, Saturdays at 8 AM and Sundays at 3 PM. During the winter (Oct-April) we only eliminate the Monday sessions.

Email a dragon boat coach at, or, come to a practice and see first-hand what all the excitement is all about.

  • Practice: come try it! We practice year-round and its FREE to practice with us your first three times. We provide instruction and all the equipment needed. If you decide to become a member, it’s only $100 each year.
  • Race: once you’ve given it a try, racing is where the paddles really fly. It’s the payoff for your practice, conditioning and effort. You’ll have an opportunity to race up to 10 times a year, just a couple or none at all. We run our own races, we race locally, regionally and internationally. The choice is entirely yours. It’s all about having fun on the water and YOU decide how much or how little fun you can handle.
