Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition Centennial - CWB offers Narrated Boat Rides on Lake Union!

  • Boat at Lake Union Park
  • Play at Lake Union Park
  • Learn at Lake Union Park

This year, on June 28, July 26, and Aug 30, The Center for Wooden Boats will host narrated boat rides on Lake Union to celebrate the AYPE Centennial!

The rides will leave the CWB docks at 2:00 pm.

The narrated rides will take place aboard one of CWB's AYP era boats, the 20' steam launch "Puffin" or the fantail launch "Dora." Leave from the CWB docks, tour Lake Union and the Portage Bay shoreline, site of the 1909 AYP Exposition. Or simply roam CWB's docks and enjoy the 1900's era environment which replicates the livery (boat rental) establishments that provided a popular form of recreation along Seattle's waterfronts at the turn of the last
century.

The Center for Wooden Boats is a hands-on maritime museum. Our mission is to provide a gathering place where maritime history comes alive
through direct experience and our small craft heritage is enjoyed, preserved,
and passed along to future generations.
